Meet Dr. FrishkeyDr. Frishkey has been practicing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital since 1987 and has been a part time Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas dental Branch (UTSD) from 1989-2000. He also taught yearly courses through the anatomy department at UTSD in dental local anesthesia. Dr. Frishkey has always been interested in continuing education, which led to the formation of two study clubs. The first of which was the Memorial Southeast Implant Study Club started in 1994. It was designed to enhance the practitioner’s knowledge of Implant Dentistry. This concept of a “university without walls” was transformed into the Knowledge Quest-The Seattle Study Club Southeast Houston in 2000. Dr. Frishkey is the director of this study club that is part of a national organization of study club dedicated to excellence in clinical and treatment planning skills, combining lectures from noted experts and clinical courses designed to improve the art and science od dentistry. In addition, Dr. Frishkey has lectured on a different aspect of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery here in Houston as well as in the United Kingdom with audiences ranging from his fellow Oral Surgeons to dental students.
